Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Atlas Make 114-Project Woodworking Library, file formats, measurement standards, tool requirements, and physical commercial licenses.

Files, Formats & Compatibility

What file format do I receive with the library?

Every single project is provided as an ultra-high-resolution, fully searchable vector PDF file. The PDFs are optimized for crisp viewing on any smartphone, iPad/tablet, laptop, or desktop computer, and can be printed at home on standard 8.5x11" or A4 printer paper.

Do I need CAD software, SketchUp, or special apps to open the plans?

No special software is needed! You do not need AutoCAD, FreeCAD, or SketchUp. Any standard PDF reader (Apple Books, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Google Chrome, Safari, Preview) will open and display the plans instantly.

Can I print the plans to take them into my workshop?

Yes, absolutely! Each plan is formatted specifically with high-contrast architectural typography and clean vector linework so you can print individual project sheets or cut lists on your home printer to carry straight to your workbench.

How are the files organized inside the download?

The library is cleanly organized into folders by project name and item number. Inside each project folder, you will find dedicated sub-folders for each measurement standard: CM, MM, and Inch, plus 3D isometric reference views.

Measurement Standards (CM, MM & Inch)

Are measurements provided in metric, imperial, or both?

Every single one of the 114 projects includes THREE complete, dedicated editions: Centimeters (CM), Millimeters (MM), and Fractional Inches. You never have to manually convert measurements or do workshop math yourself.

What kind of timber and lumber sizes are used?

The plans utilize readily available, off-the-shelf dimensional lumber (such as standard 2x4s, 2x6s, 1x4s, 4x4s) and standard sheet plywood found at any local home improvement center (Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, B&Q, Bunnings) or local timber yard.

Tools, Equipment & Experience Needed

Do I need an industrial workshop or advanced machinery?

Not at all! Over 80% of the projects can be completed using standard handheld and benchtop DIY tools: a circular saw or miter saw, a cordless drill/driver, a pocket hole jig, a tape measure, a sander, and standard wood glue with screws.

I am a total beginner. Can I really build these?

Yes! We have categorized dozens of projects as beginner-friendly (such as outdoor planter boxes, tool racks, rustic side tables, and step stools). The step-by-step assembly diagrams and pre-calculated cut lists eliminate confusion so you can build with confidence from day one.

Licensing & Commercial Use

Can I sell the physical furniture pieces I make from these plans?

YES! Your purchase includes a full physical commercial craftsmanship license. You are 100% free to build and sell any finished physical furniture, decor, or workshop items made from our plans at local craft fairs, custom commissions, or online.

Can I resell, distribute, or share the digital PDF files?

No. The digital PDF plan files, illustrations, and design blueprints are the proprietary copyrighted intellectual property of Atlas Make™. Reselling, re-uploading, or sharing the digital files is strictly prohibited.
